Suhani: Mistaken identity!
Siva Siva, a movie being directed by Sivash, continues to hog the limelight. The movie first created a buzz in the industry when reports broke
out that its script was inspired by the Devanathan sex scandal that rocked the temple town of Kancheepuram.
Then came the denial of the director of the film, who made it amply clear that the movie was not based on the sex scandal. However, he did admit that the protagonist’s role was that of a priest in the film.
Now, the movie is in the news again and this time, for a completely different reason. A section of the press had reported that actress Suhani was playing the lead role in the film.
However, when CT contacted the actress, who is all set to make her debut in Kollywood with Appavi, she said, “Actually, I’m not a part of this movie at all. The name of the actress who is playing the lead in the film is also Suhani. However, since my film Appavi is all set to hit the screens and publicity for that film is in full swing, people keep mistaking me for the other actress. In fact, I’ve got to know that my pictures have been used in media reports about this film. I have also had people calling me to enquire if I’m a part of Siva Siva.”
She added, “I’d like to make it very clear that I’m not a part of the film. I have signed another film in Tamil after Appavi. My next film is with Karan and it is titled Irandu Mugam.”
Well, it may be a case of mistaken identity, but luck it seems is on the side of the makers of Siva Siva.
